Could You Be a Safe Place for a Child in Foster Care?
You may be an incredible foster parent or family if you are…
- Feeling called to serve children and families in your community
- 21 or older and able to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing home
- Able to meet your own family’s financial needs while welcoming a child
- Willing to grow, learn, and walk through the fostering journey with support
- Open to completing training, a home study, and the licensing process
- Actively living out your faith and connected to a Christian community
With no cost to become licensed and guidance every step of the way, there is no better time to answer the call to foster care.
A CFC Foster Care Story…
Hannah’s mother, Naomi, was going through a rough patch in her life, so Hannah went to live with a foster family, the Johnsons. The Johnsons not only cared for Hannah but saw the importance of engaging in shared parenting with Naomi.
Naomi was invited to the Johnsons’ home for meals and different family events. She was also invited and attended church with them. Through this Naomi developed new positive relationships. Her community of support grew allowing Naomi to find a job and a stable place for her and her daughter to live.
The Johnsons continue to support Naomi and Hannah emotionally and spiritually. They have become extended family and recently both Naomi and Hannah were baptized! Naomi and Hannah’s relationship continues to grow and be strengthened.

Other Ways to Make a Difference
Not everyone is called to foster care, but everyone can play a part in caring for children and families in our community.
You can help by spreading awareness, supporting foster families, or giving your time and resources to strengthen the work being done every day. From working or volunteering behind the scenes to donating essential items or funds, your support helps create a future where every child is known, valued, and nurtured in a Christ-centered home.
