Foster Care

The purpose of our foster care ministry is to provide safe, Christ-centered homes to at-risk, hurting children. During that time, the children’s birth families typically work with the Arizona Department of Child Safety to have their children returned. Currently, nearly 9,700 children in Arizona are looking for a place to call home.

DCS Adoption

CFC connects Christ-centered families with children through our infant or Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) adoption program. Adoptive families are committed to their faith and often build a relationship with the birth family through open adoption.

Mentoring

Christian Family Care’s Mentoring Program is designed to provide youth and adults impacted by the foster care system or other significant trauma with a consistent presence in their lives.  

The mentor is matched with a youth or young adult and builds a relationship with them, helping them to develop essential life skills, engaging them in social activities, maintaining regular contact, and more.

STRONG Families for Children

For some parents, problems such as drug addiction, domestic abuse, incarceration, or illness can be debilitating, making it impossible for parents to care for their children.

STRONG Families for Children is a prevention program that offers a secure and temporary home to thousands of children, minimizing the risk for abuse or neglect, and giving parents the time and tools they need to help their families thrive.

Youth Permanency Services

Our Youth Permanency Services team is dedicated to identifying adoptive homes and permanency for vulnerable youth, specifically older children and adolescents. It’s an opportunity for at-risk youth to have a secure home base, and to experience stability, consistency, and Jesus’ love.

Young Adult Services

The Young Adult Services program is one of CFC’s newest offerings. Our team works with Arizona DCS to support young adults, ages 17 to 21, who have aged out of foster care and need assistance transitioning to independent adulthood.
