Meet Gage
Gage is a bright and observant young person with a gentle, affectionate nature. He tends to be stoic—often quiet and calm—but he communicates his joy and interests in meaningful ways, such as through hand-holding, hugs, and his unique way of connecting with others. Some of his favorite things to watch are Curious George, Toy Story, or YouTube videos, especially those with animals, which he enthusiastically identifies. Cheeto puffs and French fries are among his favorite snacks, and he also enjoys some fruits. While Gage is a fan of calm indoor spaces where he can enjoy his favorite content and feel secure, he also enjoys swimming and is comfortable going wherever someone takes him, adapting well to new outings with the right support. His noise-canceling headphones offer him comfort and bring him a sense of relaxation.
Gage would thrive in a nurturing, patient, and structured home. At school, he is most engaged in sensory-friendly, visual-based learning. His strength lies in his strong memory, especially for animals and characters from shows and movies. Gage finds happiness in familiar routines and soothing environments. While his goals are best expressed through the support of his team, he shows steady growth and responds well to patience and consistency. A perfect day for Gage might include watching animal videos, enjoying snacks, swimming, and spending quiet time with someone who understands his cues and rhythms. An ideal family for Gage would be open to different forms of communication, able to provide a calm environment with a slow pace. He would benefit from caregivers who are consistent and open to hands-on support. He would do well with older siblings whom he can look up to. He doesn’t mind some pets.
Gage was born in 2011.
