Meet Gilbert
Gilbert is an incredible young boy who brings joy, curiosity, and warmth to those around him. He is bright and imaginative. He is deeply kind, has a sweet nature, and a passion for learning that make him truly special. He dreams of becoming a veterinarian—especially one who works with lizards. Science is his favorite subject. Gilbert is always eager to learn more about the world. Whether he’s exploring the outdoors, caring for plants, or collecting bugs, his curiosity shines through.
He thrives with hands-on learning and creative activities like drawing, crafts, building with Legos, playing Minecraft, and solving 3D puzzles. Gilbert also has a soft spot for stuffed animals. They offer him comfort and companionship. He is a natural athlete who enjoys all kinds of sports, especially basketball. He finds peace in gardening. He loves trips to the zoo and aquarium. He lights up when watching science experiments like the classic soda and Mentos reaction.
The ideal family for Gilbert is a calm, patient two-parent home, preferably with no other children or older siblings, and pets he can help care for. A family with experience—or openness to learning—about special needs would be a great fit. Gilbert thrives with caregivers who value one-on-one time, advocate for his needs, and nurture his many strengths and interests. Only Arizona families are being considered at this time.
Gilbert was born in 2012.
