Meet Samantha

Samantha is a bright, energetic, and affectionate young girl who loves connecting with others in her own unique way. She expresses joy through hugs, hand-holding, and playful interactions. Some of her favorite activities include using her sensory swing, listening to music—especially nursery rhymes—and sampling new foods at Trader Joe’s. She has a special love for bubbly drinks, with her favorite being Spindrift’s Lemon Lime sparkling water.

Samantha is currently learning new ways to communicate. She uses sign language and a communication device to express her needs. She delights in connecting with others, especially through play, which she can enjoy for hours. Samantha is also learning to share her favorite foods and colors, and she’s beginning to express herself more through facial expressions and by guiding others’ hands to show what she wants.

Samantha would thrive in a calm, structured one- or two-parent home experienced in caring for children with special needs. Her ideal family is patient, observant, and supportive—able to meet her where she is developmentally, while encouraging her growth and independence. She does well with other children and pets, as long as they respect her space and unique needs.

Samantha was born in 2018.
