Please note that because of the nature of our work, all volunteers need a fingerprint card and pass a background check, unless noted otherwise. Opportunities are only available in the Greater Phoenix area and Pima County.

Administrative Volunteer –
Social Services
As an administrative volunteer, you will work in the central Phoenix office on projects in an office environment.

As an administrative volunteer, you will work in the Tucson office on projects in an office environment.
Time Commitment
Phoenix: Mon-Wed, 8:30 am – 3 pm

Facility Maintenance Support
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of building repairs and maintenance tasks.

2-8 hour shifts available any weekday

STRONG Families volunteers provide child hosting, mentorship, and resource connections as Family Friends or Host Families for families in crisis.

Preschool Volunteer
POSITION SUMMARY
Family Care KIDS volunteers support teachers to create a warm and loving atmosphere for children ages six weeks to five years old. As a volunteer, you will:
- Engage children in learning through play and exploration
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Provide support during snack time, outdoor play, and monthly chapel time
REQUIREMENTS
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Childcare Licensing Criminal History Affidavit
- Department of Child Safety (DCS) Central Registry Check
- Must be at least 15 years old

Thrift Store Associate – Phoenix
POSITION SUMMARY
Our CFC Thrift Store is staffed mostly by dedicated, Christ-centered volunteers. If you like to organize, sort, and treasure hunt, this opportunity is for you! As a volunteer, you will:
- Sort and price merchandise
- Help customers find items
- Manage register occasionally
- Discern quality
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 16 years old (or 15 years with an adult)

POSITION SUMMARY
Are you a handy fixer-upper who enjoys working on projects independently? We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of building repairs and maintenance tasks. As a Facility Maintenance Helper, you will:
- Choose tasks from a list of tasks needed to keep our facilities is in shape
- Travel to Thrift Store, Preschool, and/or Central Office as assigned
- Assess and/or troubleshoot issues as they present themselves and report to staff

Facility Maintenance Support – Family Care KIDS
POSITION SUMMARY
Are you a handy fixer-upper who enjoys working on projects independently? We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of building repairs and maintenance tasks. As a Facility Maintenance Helper, you will:
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance of building interiors and exteriors (e.g., patching drywall, painting, light plumbing, and carpentry)
- Inspect and maintain playground equipment and outdoor areas for safety and usability
- Assemble furniture and fixtures as needed
- Assist with seasonal tasks (e.g., weatherproofing, hanging decorations)
- Ensure tools and supplies are maintained and stored properly
- Work collaboratively with preschool staff to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance requests
- Identify and report any safety concerns or larger repair needs to the administration
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior handyman or general maintenance experience required (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (bending, climbing ladders, etc.)
- Dependable, proactive, and safety-conscious
- Willingness to complete a background check and follow school safety protocols
- Comfortable working around children in a school environment

Church Liaison Volunteer
POSITION SUMMARY
Help us connect with your church to provide resources and support to families interested in learning more about foster care or adoption. As a volunteer, you can:
- Invite your pastor or outreach director to meet with our Community Engagement Manager to learn about ways we can partner together to help vulnerable children in your community.
- Help us schedule a Foster Care/Adoption Information Session or Resource Table at your church on a Sunday.
- Be the foster care liaison for your church and inform us of opportunities to serve together.
