CFC Maintenance Support Volunteer 

(Phoenix)

Help keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for children and families. This hands-on volunteer role supports repair, upkeep, and seasonal projects across multiple CFC locations, including the preschool, central office, and thrift store. Ideal for individuals who enjoy independent, practical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs (drywall, painting, plumbing, carpentry)
  • Maintain indoor/outdoor areas, playground safety checks
  • Assemble furniture and assist with seasonal projects
  • Organize tools and report safety concerns or larger repair needs

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of handyman or maintenance experience
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable around children

Additional requirements

  • Driver’s License or State ID
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • AZDCS Direct Service Central Registry Check
  • Central Registry Clearance Check
  • References and Background Check

Time commitment

  • 2-8 hour shifts
  • Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
