Volunteer Onboarding

For Office Volunteers:

Welcome to Christian Family Care (CFC)! We trust that your volunteer position will offer you personal satisfaction and will prove to be mutually beneficial and rewarding to both you and CFC!


INSTRUCTIONS – Please bookmark this webpage so that you can return to it when needed. If you have any questions please feel free to email CFC at volunteer@cfcare.org Please review all of the linked documents prior to Orientation. You will receive a Volunteer Packet at Orientation and signing your agreement to and understanding of these documents link below.  

1. Guiding Principles and Religious Belief Statements – Please read this document (it is also part of our Volunteer Handbook) – Statement of Faith and Guiding Principles

2. Policies – Click HERE to access 5 required agency policies to review.  At Orientation your supervisor will review them with you for understanding and to sign. All other CFC policies can be found on our Quality Assurance SharePoint Site. Please click HERE to sign the signature page to show that you acknowledge and understand the form.

3. Volunteer Handbook – The Handbook contains a great deal of useful information. Take some time to review this document prior to Orientation. Please HERE here to sign the signature page to show that you acknowledge and understand the form.

4. Fingerprint Clearance Card – CFC requires all volunteers to have an updated fingerprint clearance card on file. Please bring your card to Orientation. If you do not have a card, you will need to obtain one by following these instructions.  Please note there is a cost for obtaining your fingerprint card.  CFC will reimburse the full amount after 6 months of active volunteer service. 5. Form of ID (Driver’s License, State ID, etc.)

6. Background Checks – CFC requires all volunteers to fill out and sign a DCS-1083A Form which will be completed at Orientation for processing through the Department of Child Safety.  We also require you to have a Criminal History Affidavit on file.  This document will be provided at Orientation as it will need to be notarized.

7. Release and Waiver of Liability – Click HERE to review prior to Orientation.


For Family Care KIDS Preschool Volunteers:

  1. Copy of High School diploma/GED or degree
  2. Negative TB test within last 12 months (or able to get one)
  3. References (We need 3 of them)
  4. Form of ID (Driver’s License, State ID, etc.)
  5. Please fill out this Criminal History Affidavit – Preschool and submit it to volunteer@cfcare.org

For Thrift Store Volunteers:
