Young Adult Services

Young Adult Services

Empowering young adults to have a successful and fulfilling life as they transition out of the foster care system and into adulthood.

How Does It Work?

When you participate in our Young Adult Services program–known as Extended Foster Care by DCS–you will get continuous support and guidance from members of our team and a CFC Young Adult Coach as you pursue higher education, seek employment, and consider housing needs and the everyday support needed to be successful in the community.

You will sign a voluntary agreement to actively participate in Extended Foster Care with the Department of Child Safety and receive coaching from Christian Family Care. Together, we will name your goals, document them, and find the services and resources necessary to achieve them! Your team will review your case plan at least twice a year to make sure it meets your changing needs.

You can participate in our Young Adult Services program if you meet these requirements:

  • You are 17-20 years of age
  • You are a resident of Arizona
  • You have signed a Voluntary Extended Foster Care Agreement
  • You have lived experience with Arizona DCS
  • You are interested in pursuing higher education and/or employment, or are unable to be a full-time student or employee because of a documented medical condition
